In-person course held at SNAP

Creative evocative marks and explore your surroundings with a copper plate! Designed for learners of all proficiencies, this workshop examines the relationship between mark making and the unique textures we find in our environment. Learn to build dynamic imagery by learning the subtle push and pull of copper drypoint etching.

Under the expert guidance of artist Billy Marshall, participants will experiment with a variety of mark making tools and review proper plate preparation, press set up, registration, paper handling and intaglio inking techniques.
