Agata Garbowska Artist in Residence 2020/2021 Agata Garbowska is an Edmonton based artist and a 2017 graduate of the University of Alberta Bachelor of Fine Arts program. Her work is informed by general unease and an appropriate fear of ecological disaster caused by climate change. In her current practice, Agata combines painting, printmaking, and sculpture, to collage fractured spaces with eerie traces of resource dependence and extraction. Agata continues to volunteer and work in Edmonton’s arts community and spends her free time in her Alberta Avenue studio. Her favourite poem is Kimmy Walters’ Eat your Feelings.
