Artist Statement

Domestic spaces become charged with tenderness and violence, where acts of survival, rage, and love reimagine protection and intimacy. You know where your house is explores care, ritual, and the body as a site of translation, memory, and resistance.

About the Artist

Nadia Zamora Hernandez(she/her) was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and immigrated to Canada with her family in 2009. She holds a BFA from the University of Alberta (2025). She is an emerging artist whose work is inspired by the human body and explores the nuances and complexities of lived experiences. Her art fosters personal healing. She is driven by love–and by rage. She finds it necessary to make space for radical resistance and encourages artists to clutch onto advocacy. She cherishes her roots
