Explore woodblock printmaking with artist Madison Dewar! Learn various carving techniques, how to mix inks, and create reductive layers. This introductory four-week course will instruct you on how to print single and multiple colour reductive images using the printing press. This course will focus on the skills necessary to create your own prints and to independently use the presses at SNAP. Participants should bring a selection of drawings, images, or photographs to work from. You will come away with a small edition of two finished projects.
*No experience is necessary, this course is recommended for beginner and intermediate artists. All ability levels are encouraged to register.
