Complete a multi-layer linocut print in one weekend using the brilliant efficiency of letterpress. Join Artist Brianna Tosswill from Penrose Press in this workshop to expand your understanding and experience in relief printmaking. Over the course of two days you will receive general instruction and personalized advice about lino carving and linocut reduction. You will experience the satisfaction of printing on the Vandercook letterpress and have assistance with set up and troubleshooting while you focus on printing. Decide to print an edition of cards or prints based on your preference. As a small group we will develop a colour strategy that works across multiple images and at the end of the workshop enjoy a group print exchange with the other participants.
*No experience necessary, all materials and tools will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own prints and papers to add to your work.
