Learn one of the boldest and most direct printmaking techniques: relief printing! In this course, students will get hands-on experience with various wood and lino carving techniques. Under the skilled guidance of artist Emily Hayes, participants will learn how to print single and multiple colour reductive images using SNAP’s printing presses. This course will equip you with the skills necessary to create your own lino and woodcuts and to independently use the presses at SNAP. Participants should bring a selection of drawings, images, or photographs to work from.
*No experience is necessary, this class is recommended for beginner and intermediate artists. All ability levels are encouraged to register.
