Understanding Printshop Access

Due to the highly technical nature of printmaking and the associated equipment, all new and returning renters must go through the rental admission process to gain access to SNAP’s printshop facilities. This process ensures the safety of everyone working in the printshop and preserves our equipment.

Access to the printshop is assessed through an interview with the Printshop and Programs co-ordinator, Myken Mcdowell.

Needing more experience?

If you don’t feel comfortable working safely or independently SNAP recommends that you take a workshop, professional development session, or attend Open Studio to gain more experience. Another option is to schedule a Tailored Printmaking Session to work specifically on your project and training.

We do out best to reserve spaces in as many classes as we can to help provide space for folks who cant afford a class. The program is discreet, and out focus is making sure as many people get to learn about print as possible.
