SNAP is pleased to invite members and guests for the opening receptions of Fruition by Ceilidh Munroe and How Could I Know If No One Ever Told Me by Callum McKenzie on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 7-9PM.

Admission is free and by drop in.

Fruition is a work that celebrates the abundance and fecundity of West Indian flora while simultaneously exploring the impacts of slavery and colonization through the lens of economic botany. The work is a joyful, immersive installation that explores the complex relationship between Caribbean fruit and the hands that picked it.

How Could I Know If No One Ever Told Me explores the frustrating and often ambiguous dysphoria of navigating the world as a queer ADHDer. Through their work, Callum McKenzie seeks to create an outlet for this dysphoria while holding space to embrace the confusion, contradictions and euphoria inherent in their neurodivergent queer experience.

PLEASE NOTE: The gallery will be closed during the day until 7pm to prepare for the AGM and opening reception.
