Prized for its distinct textural qualities, Monotype printing is a versatile technique that yields a one-off impression. Over the course of six weeks, artist Deltra Powney will guide participants through various approaches to monotype while diving deep into the world of expressive mark making, colour mixing, and registration using the etching presses, the offset press, and hand tools. Participants will walk away with a deeper understanding of visual theory, a wide range of monotype techniques, and the experience of working in a shared studio environment. This class is great for beginner, intermediate and experienced printmakers who want to loosen up and indulge in one of the most expressive forms of printmaking!

*No experience is necessary, this workshop is recommended for beginner and intermediate artists. All ability levels are encouraged to register.

Course Information

Age Requirements
For SNAP courses we ask that participants are 16 years of age and up. Registrants under the age of 18 require a liability waiver signed by a legal guardian. Please email [email protected] the name and age of any participants under the age of 18 and to obtain the necessary waiver form.

For any participants under the age of 16 who are interested in taking a course at SNAP, please be in touch with [email protected] and we may be able to accommodate if a parent/guardian is present with the under age participant.
