In-person course held at SNAP

Prized for its distinct textural qualities, Monotype printing is a versatile technique that yields a one-off impression. In this fun and fast-paced class, artist Deltra Powney will guide you through various approaches to monotype while diving deep into the world of mark making, colour mixing, and registration! Combine monoprint with collage while learning how to print on the go, at home, and in SNAP’s printmaking studio! Deltra will demonstrate how to create unique works of art using the etching presses, the offset press, and hand tools. At the end of the four weeks, you’ll come away with at least eight monotype prints, a better understanding of various monotype printing techniques, and the experience of working safely in a collaborative studio environment!

*No experience is necessary, this workshop is recommended for beginner and intermediate artists. All ability levels are encouraged to register.
