SNAP invites members and guests to an exciting exhibition from Tennessee based print-artist, Koichi Yamamoto. Opening July 25th, Yamamoto presents work created through copper plate engraving. Twohalves is a series of prints that depicts the symmetry of faces, nature and print; smiling Buddha like image, a leering monster – profiles composed of two eyes and a mouth with a wide array of emotions and personalities. These 30 exhibiting prints have been created by arbitrarily printing two plates on top of each other, creating an image much more complex than either plate on it’s own. Each plate is engraved with a bisymmetrical design and is then printed upon another bisymmetrical image creating an image reminiscent of a face.

Opening Reception: July 25, 7-9 pm.

SNAP is happy to provide this programming at no cost to participants.

We hope you will consider making a donation to keep programs accessible in the future.
