SNAP invites members and guests to experience Retrograde by Edmonton based artist Jill Ho-you.

Through hybrid printmaking and bioart, Retrograde explores the aftermath of the Anthropocene if changes in climate, biodiversity, and sustainability reach their predicted negative climax. Exploring what remains after the projected extinction of humanity, the work explores the idea of systemic failure while drawing parallels between the biologic, environmental, and man-made.

Jill Ho-You is a sessional instructor at the Alberta College of Art + Design and at the University of Alberta. Her prints and drawings have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including solo exhibitions at Harcourt House in Edmonton, AB (2013) and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia (2011).

Opening Reception: Friday, August 26, 7-9 pm.

SNAP is happy to provide this programming at no cost to participants.

We hope you will consider making a donation to keep programs accessible in the future.
