In the community gallery, SNAP presents Daughter of a Dead Father, an exhibition from SNAP artist Karen Cassidy. In this exhibition the artist presents a series of prints that narrate the spiritual quest she has endured her whole life after losing her father at a young age.

These self-portraits depict a woman roaming the prairie landscape seeking opportunities for self-discovery and resolve. The absent father figure is portrayed as heavy antlers she carries in her arms throughout her search.

Despite the anxiety and grief experienced through such loss, the artist’s work presents the journey she’s taken with hopefulness and strength.

Opening Reception: January 9th, 7-9 pm.

SNAP is happy to provide this programming at no cost to participants.

We hope you will consider making a donation to keep programs accessible in the future.
