“Through direct interaction with common household objects, I activate tensions between form and formlessness, allure and repulsion. I create ambiguous forms where vulnerability, sensuality and the absurd co-exist. Through absurdity I evoke moments of strangeness and unfamiliarity as I consider the stuff we discard while pursuing a dialogue with the inherent sociality of objects. Through photography, I draw correlations between the body and sculpture as well as address the material culture that surrounds us as a means to negotiate the social field of daily existence with objects.”
