Learn one of boldest and most direct printmaking techniques: Relief Printing. Explore ways of expanding traditional relief printmaking with Artist Emily Hayes. Learn various carving techniques, work with both lino and woodblocks, mix colourful inks, and create detailed reductive layers. This introductory six-week class will instruct you on how to print single and multiple colour reductive images using the printing press and methods for printing at home. This course will prepare you with the skills necessary to create your own prints and to independently use the presses at SNAP. Participants should bring a selection of drawings, images, or photographs to work from.

*No experience is necessary, this class is recommended for beginner and intermediate artists. All ability levels are encouraged to register.
