Join Artist Riaz Mehmood to expand your knowledge and understanding of technology and to discover ways to use it in your art practice. During this one evening demonstration session you will learn all about projection mapping (which is the process of using video projectors to map light (images/ videos) onto a flat or non-flat surface), and the various artists who employ it in their work. You will learn from interactive tutorials of how to use free and open source softwares as well as a brief overview of commercial softwares. In addition, explore ways to use and incorporate a Raspberry Pi (a credit card–sized computer that plugs into a LCD screen and/or TV) as an alternative computer or high-definition video device. Enjoy practical and informative demonstrations and widen your options for utilizing technology in your practice.
