Photopolymer Gravure Aquatint Screen Demonstration

Participate in a group demonstration with visiting artist, Mitch Mitchell, to learn how to create a unique handmade aquatint screen to use repeatedly for photopolymer platemaking. This hands-on demonstration will allow you to replace the computer generated films used in the photopolymer gravure process. During the evening explore the materials, practices, and ease of creating specific dot screens mimicking historic rosin etching processes while introducing various other possibilities.

Individuals who have registered for a class or workshop at SNAP but are unable to attend are required to give written (email) notice to SNAP 7 days in advance of the course start date to receive a full refund. Registrants who cancel with 6 or less days notice will receive 50% of their registration fee. After the course has begun SNAP is unable to issue a refund or offer makeup classes for any days missed. Courses are run on a narrow cost recovery basis and are subject to a minimum enrolment in order to run. If SNAP cancels a course due to low enrolment, notice will be given at least 5 days in advance and a full refund will be issued.
