This demo will be hosted online.
Expand your skills and join in SNAP’s online interactive demonstration that focuses on using Adobe Illustrator for printmaking techniques. Learn to use Illustrator in ways that translate successfully to printmaking and to prepare your artwork. In this one evening demonstration session, you will follow along and learn how to take your sketches and turn them into multi-color vector illustrations and output color separations. Designer and Illustrator, Andrew Benson will go over the basics of the Illustrator interface and tools. Learn about creating illustrations with the pen tool vs. the Image Trace tool and how to use bitmap texture tiffs, spot colors, overprinting, and trapping images. This one evening session will allow you to explore the possibilities of Illustrator and give a good introduction to the program for which you could later book one to one sessions to improve your skills.
*This demonstration is open to anyone, but is geared for Illustrator beginners or individuals requiring a refresher. Participants will need to have their own access to Adobe Illustrator, information regarding free seven day trials of Adobe programs will be sent to participants.
