Explore printmaking through monotype techniques. During this four-week class you will create a series of monotype prints using direct inking techniques with a variety of tools. Artist Sara Norquay will instruct you how to use methods of trace monotype, double and triple drop/layered printing, brush and roller work, stencils, offset printing, ghost prints, and chine collé. Each participant will create a series of exploratory prints. This course will prepare you with the skills necessary to create your own prints and to independently use the presses at SNAP.
*No experience is necessary, this class is recommended for beginner and intermediate artists.

Individuals who have registered for a class or workshop at SNAP but are unable to attend are required to give written notice emailed to: [email protected] 7 days in advance of the course start date to receive a full refund. Registrants who cancel with 6 or less days notice will receive 50% of their registration fee. After the course has begun SNAP is unable to issue a refund or offer makeup classes for any days missed. Courses are run on a narrow cost recovery basis and are subject to a minimum enrolment in order to run. If SNAP cancels a course due to low enrolment, notice will be given at least 5 days in advance and a full refund will be issued.
