In this weekend workshop explore the language of monotype as a component in creating images. Each participant will refresh their printing skills as well as learn ways to experiment with new approaches. Artist and SNAP founder Robin Smith Peck will have you bring discarded prints and paper and together armed with presses, inks, adhesives and a critical eye, the group will create an environment to generate chance occurrences and monoprints. Throughout the weekend you will collaboratively create marks and methods guided through the use of offset and direct printing processes to produce image propositions. There will be no failures only possibilities. Participants will collaborate; play and print using plates, inks and substrates to learn advanced techniques.

*Participants must have previous experience in printmaking.
