Join us for an online demonstration of the different ways to practice lithography at SNAP and a few possibilities for doing it in the comfort of your own home! Emerging Artist in Residence Luke Johnson, will talk about drawing methods for different kinds of plates, etching, printing from hand-drawn and photo-based plates using SNAP’s presses, all the while preparing a litho-inspired lunch. Enjoy a culinary and artistic adventure through ball-grained, photolitho, polyester, and kitchen-litho plates and come away with the knowledge to start planning your own multi-colour litho prints… and possibly a fairly good sandwich. This session will give a good taste of lithography for beginners and act as a refreshing snack for those who have previous experience. Meet us virtually from your kitchen and see what we are cooking up in the litho area at SNAP Printshop during this online demonstration.
*No experience is necessary, this class is recommended for beginner and intermediate artists. All ability levels are encouraged to register.

Note: All online sessions will be recorded to capture the demonstration and will be sent to registered participants so they can view and rewatch at their leisure after the session.
