Create your own hand-printed ornaments this holiday season with artist Tamara Deedman. She will teach you her tips and tricks for achieving flawless photo transfers and how to integrate layers of design, shapes, or text over top using handmade stencils and colourful screen inks. Explore mixed media methods by incorporating photo transfer techniques with silkscreen printing. You will learn how to transfer your photos onto wood by manually separating ink from paper and removing all of the paper fibres by hand. At the end of the 3-week class you will take home a series of 6 unique wood panel holiday ornaments.
*Participants can prepare a quote/text and a photo to use for their ornaments, images will need to be sent by November 9th, more information will be given at the time of registration.
