Online demonstration session held through Zoom

Join Artist Riaz Mehmood to gain practical knowledge of making graphic patterns using a variety of software. Participants will learn how to turn their drawings & doodles into a pattern as well as how to create patterns from scratch. This online demonstration will cover using commercial softwares such as Photoshop & Illustrator and free software such as Sketchbook.

After focusing on how pattern making can be achieved using desktop software and programs, participants will be introduced to a variety of apps that can be used to create interesting and unique patterns using mobile devices. Additionally, explore how to utilize mobile device cameras as a tool for creating patterns from one’s surroundings. The skills learned during this one evening session will cover which file formats are best for saving patterns for later use with a variety of printmaking techniques.

*No experience is necessary, this demonstration session is recommended for beginner and intermediate artists. All ability levels are encouraged to register.

Note: All online sessions will be recorded to capture the demonstration and will be sent to registered participants so they can view and rewatch at their leisure after the session.
