Call for Interest in participating in the 2022 Calendar Collective. Printing to take place in Summer 2021.
Each year, artists hand-print a calendar at SNAP Printshop as a fundraising initiative and a great way of getting a variety of SNAP artists’ work into many hands. We invite you to participate in the 2022 calendar if you have screenprinting or letterpress experience and an interest in getting involved.
Participating artists will be assigned a calendar month and will design and print their image in a large edition at SNAP Printshop. Artists may choose to screenprint or carve and print linoblocks on the letterpress. Artists are expected to print the type portion of their designated month on the letterpress and to assist with curation and collating prints.
Please email printshop@snapartists.com with your expression of interest before May 31. Technical assistance can be arranged if necessary. All supplies will be provided by SNAP. Participating artists will be given a calendar and volunteer hours in exchange for their participation.
Printing the calendar will take place this summer. Artists will begin in July and finish by September 30. More information will be given at a later date regarding image and size specifications. 12 Artists will be chosen for this fundraising project.
